Tim Jantzen, Co-owner/Executive Director | [email protected]

Tim Jantzen has over 20 years experience in the soccer industry.  Beginning at age five to the present, he has played, coached, and administered the sport at the recreational, club, and collegiate levels.  He is a true believer in the individual skill development at early stages of childhood development, matching the primary focus of the Happy Feet curriculum.

In 2006, Jantzen earned his undergraduate degree in business while playing on the men's soccer team at Saint Gregory’s University.  In 2008, he received his D Coaching License from the North Texas State Soccer Association, and completed the Soccer Management and Scouting course offered by Sports Management Worldwide.  Jantzen also began his coaching career in fall 2008 as assistant coach of the Lawton Soccer Club’s U19 men’s soccer team guiding them through their first season in the Oklahoma Premier League.  For the 2009 spring season, he volunteered his services to the Duncan, OK Chisholm Trail Soccer Association as head coach of the recreational U16 coed team, leading Real Duncan F.C. to an undefeated debut season.

His professional career began in 2008, accepting a position at the Simmons Center recreational facility as the Recreational Sports Coordinator.  During his tenure at the Simmons Center, Jantzen introduced youth and adult soccer programs to the community in addition to a number of other programs.  Beginning with a summer soccer camp, attracting nearly 50 local youths, he then offered a Youth Futsal League in an attempt to better develop the youth game in the area.  The Youth Futsal League targeted children ages 6-7, catering to about 35 youths, the first of its kind in Southwest Oklahoma.

In 2010, Tim moved to Denver, CO as Owner/CEO of South Denver HappyFeet Legends.  Throughout his time in Colorado, South Denver HappyFeet Legends reached out to as many as 500 kids ages 2 - 5 with a strong emphasis on youth development.

Now Tim, his wife Jessica, also Co-owner and Operations Director, have brought HappyFeet to the Twin Cities with the hope of reaching out to as many families as possible and spreading the passion for soccer and character development.  Tim is a fan of the Italian side, Juventus, the Italian national team, Minnesota United F.C. and of course the USA men's and women's national team. In his free time, Tim enjoys community outreach events, playing rec soccer, disc golf, and spending time with his sons and daughter.

Jessica Jantzen, Co-owner/Director of Operations | [email protected]

Jessica Jantzen began playing soccer at the age of 6 and finished at 15, as the rural school she attended then did not have a high school soccer program. She then turned her attention to coaching to stay with the sport as much as possible.  She began her coaching career at 16 with her younger sister’s U11 & U12 soccer team, the Owls.

Jessica began working at the Lawton Family YMCA in 2007, which inspired her interest in sports & outreach programming.  In 2008, she moved to a locally owned recreation center, earning her personal training certification through NETA Fitness, giving her great insight into overall health and wellness.  Here she also assisted in the organization and implementation of sports programming.  She coached a CTSA U8 girls team, the Red Hots, gaining more experience with youth soccer development.

In 2009, Jessica found her way back to the YMCA working in the Fitness Center.  There she was asked to join the facility’s Health & Wellness Affinity group which was a part of the Gulick Collaborative, an organizational improvement effort seeking to better engage members to a healthy mind, body, and spirit.  It was then that she introduced small group concepts to help the Y provide a healthy mind and spirit rather than relying on physical fitness memberships.

In 2010, Jessica moved to Denver, Colorado- assisting in the start-up and growth of South Denver HappyFeet Legends.

Now she and husband, Co-owner/CEO Tim Jantzen have brought the HappyFeet Legends program to the Twin Cities area! Jessica is a fan Minnesota United FC, and of course both of the USA’s national teams. In her free time Jessica enjoys free soccer play, disc golf, playing the guitar, and spending time with her 4 kiddos.

Abbey Radermacher, Lead HappyFeet/Jr. Legends Coach | [email protected]

Abbey began playing soccer at 11 with Maple Grove Parks and Recreation before joining Maplebrook Soccer Association, where she competed throughout her youth. With Maplebrook, Abbey also got her first experience coaching young children—an early sign of her passion for mentorship and development through sport.

In 2017, Abbey was selected for Minnesota’s Olympic Development Program (ODP), further honing her competitive and technical skills on the field. She played high school soccer for Maple Grove Senior High, helping lead the team to its first-ever Class AA State Championship in 2020 during her senior season.

After graduating, Abbey continued her soccer career at Northern State University in South Dakota. In 2021, she transferred to the University of Minnesota-Duluth to continue her education and joined the Bulldogs women’s soccer program. Following a medical retirement from competitive play in 2022, Abbey remained deeply connected to the team as a student manager, supporting operations and video analysis.

Her passion for sports led her to UMD Athletics’ Communications and Marketing Department, where she worked on social media content, live broadcasting, and in-game reporting for various sports, including NCAA championship events. Abbey expanded her experience at the semi-professional level as a Marketing and Gameday Operations Intern with Minneapolis City SC’s USL League Two team during their 2023 and 2024 seasons. She assisted in event operations, team communications, and coordination with officials and media during matchdays.

Abbey recently completed her Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a minor in Marketing at the University of Minnesota-Duluth in July 2025. She remains a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion in sports and enjoys inspiring the next generation of young athletes through coaching and mentorship.

Abbey enjoys playing soccer, basketball, guitar, and spending time with her family and friends in her free time. Her favorite team to follow—aside from the UMD Bulldogs—is the U.S. Women’s National Team. Abbey credits soccer for giving her some of her greatest memories and lifelong friendships.

Nate Broders, Lead HappyFeet/Junior Legends Coach

I’m Coach Nate! I am a proud dad, former college soccer player, and Nebraska native with a lifelong love for the game. I grew up playing soccer and was lucky enough to continue through college, which taught me not just skills on the field but also the importance of teamwork, confidence, and fun. Now, as a parent and coach, I love bringing that same energy and encouragement to every HappyFeet session. Helping kids grow, smile, and fall in love with soccer is what it's all about for me. When I’m not on the field, you’ll probably find me out fishing and enjoying the great outdoors.
